The Mission of the Greater Evangelism World Crusade (KUMRAN) Bible College, Nonwa is to graduate educated men and women to serve God. The college believes in learning through application and requires students spend a portion of their academic programmes in inter-ship attachment to local Churches. A complementary mission is to prepare them for greater service and for the Ministry.
It is the policy of the College not to discriminate on basis of race, creed , sex or handicap in its admissions, employment, or other activities.
The Greater Evangelism World Crusade (KUMRAN) Bible College was founded in 1974 at Bori, Ogoni, as Greater Evangelism World Crusade Bible School. In 1994 the College moved to its permanent site at Nonwa in Tai Local Government Area, about thirty six Kilometers from Port Harcourt City
With the expansion of the programme in the college and increase in intake and staff strength, it becomes necessary to affiliate the college with a university to enable the college improve its programme and issue internationally recognized certificate.
This was done in 1994 with the affiliation of the college to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and Christ for the Nations Institute, Dallas, Texas, USA in 1998.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
1) Providing courses of instruction and training that will lead to academic excellence as well as leading students to spiritual maturity.
2) Preparing students for direct entry admission into Nigerian Universities for the award of Bachelor of Arts in Education (B.ed.) of recognized universities.
3) Encouraging men and women to have a World-Vision of Evangelism to enable them go into mission work
The college is presently running two programmes which are affiliated to two different universities.
Diploma in Christian Religious Education, which is an affiliate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. It is a three year programme.
Diploma in Theology, it is an affiliate of Christ for the Nations Institute, Dallas, Texas, USA. It is also a three year programme.
